You had to press anything to make it beep in 1 second sound interval?
Did it beep when you pressed any char?
Did it beep when you pressed the enter? |

I experience this bug from time to time aswell, however its rather rare bug. I think it occurs when I'm playing on one server for a long period of time and then switch to another. So I cant write anything and this beep sound occurs[more like an error sound]
edit: it beeps what it feels like every 10 seconds, the beep sound doesnt require pressing any buttons. Im still able to play but cant write

Can you tab out of Soldat or bring up the task manager? The sound leads me to believe that an access violation occurred and is hidden beneath Soldat.
You said the chat input locked up. Did this occur right as you opened the chat or sent the message, or while you were still typing? |

I have also encountered this issue: http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=38231 [^]
Relevant info from the thread:
* It occurs in both fullscreen and windowed.
* Occurs in Windows 7 64-bit
* Bug has existed since 1.5 or earlier
* Reinstalling Soldat didn't fix
The message-box-hidden-beneath-Soldat theory seems plausible. |

In 1.6-1.6.2 it didn't appeared to me anytime, but in 1.5 it was happening sometimes. I think bigger chance was when you were minimizing Soldat.
Alt+F4 was working for me (otherwise I couldn't exit Soldat). There wasn't any "Access Violation" message instead, also Windows beep sound was... hm, beeping (:D) only when tapping "T" button as I remember ("T" for chat). |

I remember getting this bug sometimes in older versions, but lately I haven't. Does anyone of you still get this bug? |

It looks like problem with DirectInput initialization. So it's normal situation when Soldat doesn't react before that (especially after un-minimizing [how should I call this? xD]] Soldat). |
