Hmm, well you did press the prone key so of course your character is going to prone. Would you rather want for the command key '/' to be configurable like any other key, or what? |

No, I want the same behaviour like in this example:
reload is set to "r", but Alt-r triggers the taunt command and not the reload command.
What I want:
proning is set to "shift", but Shift-7 triggers the "command line mode"
Ok, on closer examination I notice it is not the same behaviour... would it still be possible to implement this?
P.S.: I noticed setting Alt to any action won't trigger the action... meh |

McWise: for alt-r, it was fixable since the SECOND key (r) was triggering the reload.
This is not the case with Shift-7 where the FIRST key (Shift) is triggering the prone action.

That's not a bad idea. It would fix this issue. And might make the use of command line more handy. (e.g. less chance to write an adminlog in the chat by mistake.)
Is it worth adding it as a new element to place in the menu GUI tho? I don't know. |

Yep, noticed so in my last post as well.
I think it would be a nice compromise allowing to set the command line key. |

Not sure I understand the issue here, but can't you just use the / key on numpad to open console, or use the right-shift + 7 combination to open the console?
I mean.. you don't have to use the left-shift + 7 combination to open console when you use left-shift for proning.

That is correct, it is a good suggestion I just didn't think of. I am just used to Shift-7 for the "/".
Still, principally I think this is a inconvenient behaviour. Maybe there is another combination of keys/languages where this is happening. But for now I think using numpad "/" is a good enough work around. |
