Summary | 0000177: Bots carrying flag doesn't shoot | ||||||||||||
Description | As soon as a bot picks up a flag they stop shooting. They only shoot on the enemy flag carrier if he is nearby, noone else. Could it be that bots are set to kill efc when they get flag instead of set to kill as normal? | ||||||||||||
Additional Information | I don't think it matters what difficulty level or intelligence you set on bots. (I tried a few) Also don't matter how many bots in server, or if you are in singleplayer or multiplayer. | ||||||||||||

Do they shoot players next to free flags aswell? How should they in general behave? |

The bots behave normal (shoot players on sight) exept when they have picked up a flag. When they pick up a flag they ignore all other players and just walk back to base with the flag. They till only attack if they see the enemy flag carrier. What they should do: Bots should attack enemies on sight wether they have a flag or not. I don't know if bots prioritize to shoot flag carriers or not, but just leave that as it is. Point is that a bot with flag don't shoot anything but the other flag carrier! |

I think the idea for the implementation was: bot with flag shouldn't attack but run as fast as they can and cap. |

Oh, it was implemented on purpose? Well then.. If they can't run back to base and shoot at enemies at the same time.., I think it's better for them to attack enemies on sight, until nearby enemies are dead, then go back with flag. Perhaps we should get more opinions on that, but I think it's just too stupid to walk next to the efc without getting shot at all. |

I believe the priority in this case should be for a bot to go back with flag as fast as possible BUT if he sees an enemy on his way he should fire at him (while still running for the base). |
