Summary | 0000079: "I/O error 105" on startup
Description | As reported on the forums, here: http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=40428.msg496303#msg496303 [^] and here: http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=41143.0 [^] When starting Soldat 1.6, the game shows an error message "I/O error 105", when the game is loaded (see the attachment). After the error message, the game continues to run, but several things are messed up / missing from the game: 1. The profiles select list doesn't show any previously created profiles. 2. Starting a new game is not possible, because both the map select and bot select lists are empty. 3. Joining a server is possible, but the teams select and weapon select menus are missing their text.
Additional Information | It looks like this is a Windows 2000 specific issue, as I can only reproduce this bug on Windows 2000.

This bug has been fixed in Soldat 1.6.1, even though there's no mention of it in the change log. :D Edit: But now there's much worse issues when actually trying to play. See issue: http://bugs.soldat.pl/view.php?id=93 [^] |
